The bundle can be burned whole or gently broken apart so you can use only a small amount at a time. Using smaller pieces can help you get multiple uses from one bundle.

🔥 How to Burn Safely

If burning the whole bundle, light one end briefly and allow it to catch, then gently extinguish the open flame so the herb continues to smolder.

If using smaller pieces, place them inside a fire-safe cauldron, cast-iron ritual dish, loose-herb burner, charcoal-safe vessel, or another container specifically designed for burning botanicals.

Never leave burning or smoldering herbs unattended.

🌿 Smoke Cleansing vs. Smudging

The general spiritual use of botanical smoke is commonly called smoke cleansing.

Smudging refers to specific sacred ceremonial practices within certain Indigenous traditions and should not automatically be used as another name for all herbal smoke practices.
