Anubis is one of the most recognizable deities of ancient Egypt. He was closely associated with embalming, burial rites, cemeteries, protection of the deceased, and guiding souls through the transition into the afterlife.
Because of those ancient associations, many modern practitioners also connect Anubis with transformation, protection, endings and beginnings, ancestor work, shadow work, and finding strength while moving through periods of major change.
